Your first question to the assistant

Once the connector is live, you can start with a question like:
What is my balance right now, and how did it move over the last six months?
You should get a table with the figures, the period and the currency. If you have more than one workspace, mention in the question which one you want the answer for. If you don’t, the assistant asks, and then remembers for the rest of the conversation.

What you can ask

Questions can be written exactly the way you would say them out loud: “total inflows from the first of April until today”, “total results for last semester”, “results for this September against last September”. Don’t worry about mistyping a word — the assistant handles typos and missing diacritics.
Questions marked with a * are answered by the assistant reasoning over ThinkOut’s historical totals. For now they are not based on ThinkOut forecasts or budgets — the assistant tells you which period and which assumptions it used, and you can read them as a documented interpretation of the past, not as a projection.

Balances and cash flow

  • “What is my balance right now?” “And on 30 June?”
  • “Inflows and outflows over the last six months, in total and month by month.”
  • “Monthly cash flow for last semester, only for the Banca Transilvania accounts.”
  • “Show me last month’s net result from ING.”
  • “This September against last September.”
  • “Why did the balance drop in June?”
  • “At my current spending rate, how many months of cash do I have left?” *
  • “What is my average daily balance this quarter compared with last quarter?”
  • “What were the three worst weeks of the year in terms of cash?”
  • “What percentage of my income comes from my top three clients?”
  • “Which clients paid me less this year than last year?”
  • “Which client relationship has grown the most year on year?”
  • “How much did Client X pay us in the first half of the year?”
  • “Which suppliers do I pay fastest, and which ones do I keep putting off?”
  • “Is there a regular client who pays more slowly than they used to?”
  • “When did X last pay us, and how often do they pay?”
  • “Largest payments from the ING Bank accounts since January 2026.”
  • “Which supplier cost has grown the most against last year, in percentage terms?”
  • “What is the most expensive tool subscription I am paying for?”
  • “Top five suppliers this quarter.”
  • “Which transactions are still uncategorised? Show me the list, not just the total.”
  • “Which spending category grew the most as a share of total costs this year?”
  • “How much have I spent on [label] in total since the project started?”
  • “Were there transactions this month that are unusually large for my normal pattern?” *
  • “Has the amount changed on any recurring payment compared with previous months?”
  • “Are there payments to the same counterparty this month that look like duplicates?”
  • “Which project (label) brought in the most money this quarter?”
  • “Which client is most profitable if I also count the costs allocated to their project?” *
  • “Which project has the worst cost-to-income ratio?” *
  • “What is my total cash position right now, across every connected account?”
  • “Which account saw the most activity last month?”
  • “If I needed 30,000 lei tomorrow for payroll, which account or accounts would cover it?”
  • “Which transfers did I make between my own accounts this month?”
  • “How much have I paid so far this year in taxes and contributions?”
  • “Do I have enough cash available to cover the next tax payment when it falls due?” *
  • “How does this year’s tax burden compare with last year’s, as a percentage of income?”
  • “Is the ING connection active? When does its consent expire?”
  • “Which accounts are connected, and when was each last updated?”

What an answer looks like

Every answer states the period it covers and the currency, so you can check what the assistant understood before you rely on the figures.

Filtering and grouping

You can narrow a question by as many criteria as you like at once, just as on the cash flow screen: category, label, bank, account, counterparty. Grouping works by day, week or month, optionally with one further dimension: counterparty, category, label, account or bank. When you do not add a second dimension, each period also shows its starting balance, transfers, excluded movements and ending balance.
